Open Studios Friday / Celia Gray Encaustic Paintings
Posted in Art, Durham, Event, Friends on December 16, 2009 by horseandbuggypressWe will be open from 6-9pm this Friday (Dec 18) as part of Third Friday Durham.
Celia Gray’s encaustic paintings look nice in the daytime, but absolutely phenomenal at night. They smell nice too. Come check them out if you are out and about. The exhibit comes down over the holidays.
Feel free to holler at me if you want to schedule an appointment.
And if you are in Raleigh on Saturday Celia will be hocking her handmade belt buckles at the Rock and Shop Market from 1-5pm.
Yes, we will get back to posting about work…
Posted in Horse & Buggy Press project on December 9, 2009 by horseandbuggypress… but the thing is my crappy camera crapped out so I can’t take pics of the various work projects of the last six weeks or so.
I have enjoyed working on some interesting projects including several literary broadsides and a paperboard letterpress DVD package.
We aim to get a new camera and be taking pictures and making blog posts about H&B projects before too long.
In the meantime, if you are local you can go to the Beyu Caffe that just opened up in the Snow Building downtown as I designed their menus. Looks to be a great venture, coffee, snacks, square meals, wine, beer, including DogfishHead 60 minute IPA on tap. Tell Dorian and company that you appreciate that he has that on top instead of Magic Hat or Big Boss or Highland Gaelic or some of the other swill that passes for draught beer in these parts.
Until the new camera gets in (early mid January?), these Friday tunes and occasional video links will have to suffice for the time being.
